Because our Triathlon at Portishead is a non-profit event, and the price has been set at an appropriate level to cover costs and contingencies, we have to have a refund policy that protects the organisers (volunteers & club members) from making a financial loss. The policy is as follows:
Any athlete who enters the Self-Transcendence Somerset Try-a-Tri is entitled to withdraw their entry and receive the following refund of the entry fee (no refund can be made of any online transaction fees, e.g. Entry Central charges).
Withdrawal before March 1st - 75% refund
Withdrawal after March 1st but before April 20th - 50% refund
Withdrawal after April 20th - no refund

TRANSFER OF ENTRY TO ANOTHER PERSON:
It will be possible to withdraw from the race and transfer the entry to another athlete right up until April 20th. To do this, email details of the "substitute" athlete to the race organiser (address shown above) including their email or postal address. An entry form will be sent to them. On receipt of the completed entry and cleared payment, the withdrawing athlete will receive a refund of their entry fee. TRANSFERS ARE NOT POSSIBLE AFTER APRIL 20th (by then we have worked out the starting order etc. and late entries or exchanges are NOT possible).
Please note that we will not be able to refund any online booking fee (usually less than £3) charged by Entry Central or similar organisations for use of their payment facility.
